In order to protect your personal data, we implement both technical and organisational security measures. The technical security precautions taken by us are continually adjusted to technical developments.

    Cookies

The Internet sites of the ISB use cookies. Cookies are text files that are deposited on a computer system via an Internet browser and saved. Many Internet sites and servers use cookies. Many cookies contain a so-called cookie ID. A cookie ID is a clear identifier of the cookie. It consists of a character sequence by means of which Internet sites and servers can be assigned to the concrete Internet browser in which the cookie was saved. This enables the Internet sites and servers, which are being visited, to distinguish the individual browser of the data subject from other Internet browsers that contain different cookies. A specific Internet browser can be recognised again and identified via the clear cookie ID.

By means of the use of cookies, the users of this Internet site can be provided with more user-friendly services, which would not be possible without the setting of cookies. By means of a cookie, the information and services can be optimised on our Internet site for the benefit of the user. As explained above, cookies enable us to recognise the users of our Internet site again in the future. The purpose of this is to make the use of our Internet site easier for our users. As an example, the user of an Internet site, which uses cookies, is not required to enter his or her access data again each time he or she visits the Internet site, as this is carried out by the Internet site and the cookie deposited on the computer system of the user. A further example is the cookie of a shopping basket in the online shop. The online shop records the items that a customer has placed in the virtual shopping basket by means of a cookie.

The data subject can prevent the setting of cookies by our Internet site at any time by setting the Internet browser used accordingly and thereby permanently objecting to the placing of cookies. In addition, cookies, which have already been set, can be deleted at any time via an Internet browser or other software programs. This is possible in all current Internet browsers. Should the data subject deactivate the setting of cookies in the Internet browser used, it may not be possible to fully use all of the functions of our Internet site.

What rights do I have as a data subject?

In accordance with the law, you can request as follows:

    • Under Article 7 Paragraph 3 GDPR, you can revoke the consent you have issued to us at any time. This means that we may no longer continue the data processing in the future, which was based on this consent.

In particular, you can request information concerning the purposes of the processing, the category of the personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been disclosed or is being disclosed, the planned duration of the saving, the existence of a right of correction, erasure, to have the processing restricted or to raise an objection, the existence of a right to complain, the origin of your data should this not have been gathered by us, as well as concerning the existence of automated decision making, including profiling and, if applicable, detailed information concerning the specifics of this.
    • Under Article 16 GDPR, you can request the immediate correction of incorrect personal data held by us or the completion of incomplete personal data saved by us.
    • Under Article 17 GDPR, you can request the deletion of your personal data saved by us, unless the processing is necessary in order to exercise the right to freely express one's opinion and information, in order to fulfil a contractual obligation, for reasons in the public interest or in order to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.
    • Under Article 18 GDPR, you can request that the processing of your personal data be restricted, should the correctness of the data be disputed by you, should the processing be unlawful but you reject its deletion and should we no longer require the data but you need it in order to assert, exercise or defend legal claims or you have raised an objection to the processing in accordance with Article 21 GDPR.
    • Under Article 20 GDPR, you can receive the personal data, which you have provided to us in a structured, up-to-date and machine-readable format, or you can request transfer to another controller.
    • Under Article 77 GDPR, you can complain to a supervisory authority. As a rule, you can complain to the supervisory authority of your place of residence in this respect.

Data processing when registering for the newsletter

Should you have issued your express consent in accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter a) GDPR, we will use your email address to regularly send you our newsletter. The supply of an email address suffices in order to receive the newsletter.

It is possible to cancel the subscription at any time, for example via the link at the end of every newsletter. Alternatively, you can also send your de-registration request by email to the address stated in the legal notice.

When do I have a right of objection?

Should your personal data be processed on the basis of legitimate interests in accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1 Sentence 1 Letter f) GDPR, in accordance with Article 21 GDPR you have the right to raise an objection to the processing of your personal data, should reasons for this which are connected to your specific situation be present or should the objection relate to direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right of objection which will be implemented by us without the need to state a specific situation.

Should you wish to claim your right of revocation or right of objection, an email to standortfinder@isb.rlp.de suffices.
